My sweet baby boys turn 16 today, time is going just way too quickly! Here is a layout I did back in 2008 of them on their first birthday, these pictures still crack me up today...lol I love how covered they re in blue icing!
and here is a layout I did of them tubing in Sauble Beach a few years ago, I used the Studio Calico Roundabout Kit along with Geralyn Sy's FABULOUS printable cutouts LOVE THEM!
Sigh, they're growing up and I don't want them too, this Friday they're going to be getting their beginners and learning how to drive (those of you in the Niagara area may want to stay off the sidewalks). Sometimes I wish I had rewind button....
Hope everyone has a FANTASTIC day!!

Fathers Day Cards and a Mini Giveaway :)
Happy Tuesday! Hope everyone had a good weekend :)
Found these cool Fathers Day Printables on Pinterest and had to use them. They come in 5*7 format but I just re-sized them to fit my needs :) I also took on Paige Evans Paper Roll Challenge, it's a fantastic way to use up scraps!
I'm trying to get myself to make more cards. I've scrapbooking for over 12yrs now and have only made a handful of cards. I'm going to try and make one a week :)
Used up lots of scrap paper for these and used my water colours to make splats and co-ordinate the circle, heart and start accents.
I also have a mini giveaway :) I was Michael's the other day and came across the dollar stamps I picked up about 5 different stamps and mini stamp blocks to go with them and didn't notice until I got home that I had purchased 2 of the Mustache stamps. I thought why not give them away :) Leave a comment telling me how you spent Fathers and link up your Fathers Day project if you made one (I love to leave praise) and for a few extra chances follow me on Blog Lovin :) I'll give everyone until Sunday and then I'll announce on Monday.
Thanks for stopping by!

Mixing the old with the new :)
One of my favourite things to do is to mix older product with newer product or use a technique that is trending right now so the older product doesn't look so dated in my layouts :)
New Products Used
New Products Used
- Studio Calico Pattern Papers
- Studio Calico Wood Veneer Birds
- American Crafts White Fabric Stickers
- Twine
- Vellum
Older Products Used
- Making Memories Foam Letter Stamps
- EK Success Classic Pooh Stickers
- K&Company Border Strip
- KI Memories Puffy Bird Sticker
Trendy Techniques Used
- Layered paper and embellishments
- Watercolours - I used these to paint the hearts in the layers, paint the wood veneer birds, to make the title and to "splatter" things.
- Using "negatives" like I did in the journaling block.
- Using shapes to make the banner at the top. This is one of my favourite things about this layout and it was heavily inspired by Akihasmomma over at Studio Calico I LOVED how she made garland for her More Happy Little Moments project
This is one of my most favourite photo's of my oldest daughter and oldest twin. I love how close they are at that moment and that you can feel the love that they have for each other :) We've always been huge Winnie the Pooh fans here at our house so when I saw this photo I immediately thought of the quote where Pooh tells Piglet you "feel" love. I think it fits perfectly :)
As always, thanks for stopping by and I hope you all are having a FANTASTIC weekend!

Her Thinking Spot
The new CSI Challenge # 75 is up, these colours where more to my liking ;) and of course I combined the challenge with Tracey G's Challenge to "Scrap outside your comfort zone" over at Scrap That! and for me that is Layers. I love the look of all the beautiful layered papers and embellies but can never seem to get it to work for me. So for now I'll keep it simple ;)
For this layout I printed out different quotes to I found on Pinterest. I wanted to to convey to my daughter the importance of loving herself. I then layered my paper, photo, a Karen Foster border strip that I "white washed", a left over piece of a sticker strip from MME and some Prima Ribbon. I then used water colours on some American Crafts fabric thicker (LOVE!) For the embellished strip going across the top of the page I again "white washed" a piece of Chatterbox Pattern paper, crumpled it and used my circle punches to create some flowers and my mini heart punch to create a banner effect. I'm liking how it turned out :) The beautiful photo was taken by my wonderfully talented friend at Rhonda Calvitto Images
