Cute vs Spook

It's been awhile since I had a blog post.  Life sometimes just gets away from me at times.  Hopefully things will be more settled now and I can do some more scrapping :)  Did a quick one today, mixing some older product with some newer product.  My oldest girl, her boyfriend and my son Matthew carving pumpkins last year.  The boys really wanted to make something "spooky" and Chelle wanted "cute".  The compromise was that Chelle got her own pumpkin while the boys shared...lol

Pattern paper is Twinkle, Twinkle from Studio Calico
Letter Stickers are Doodlebug and American Crafts
Stickers are SRM Press, K&Co and Jillibean Soup
Dots are Basic Grey
I also used some old gold flecked mullberry paper and some polkadot vellum.

Liking how it came out :)

Thanks for stopping by and hope everyone has a GREAT day!

I'm Right Here Always

I recently won Jill Sprotts Class - Scrapbooking from the Soul and I'm so excited because journaling is something I've gotten away from over the past few years. This page was really hard for me to do and I shed a few tears when doing the journaling but It feel good getting it down. My Son Derek is going through a hard time right now and it's breaking my heart that I can't fix it :( I just want him to know I'm here for him always.

I Also tied in the BOYS challenge over at Studio Calico and took inspiration from Sasha's layout "Let's be Adventurous", I loved her use of banners :)

Journaling Reads

I miss you. I miss your hugs. I miss your smile. I miss having you around. I miss our Harry Potter Marathons. I miss you being happy. I miss you.

I don't know. I don't know how to connect with you. I don't know how to make you smile anymore. I don't know how to fix the hurt. I don't know how to make it better. I don't know.

I wish. I wish I could my arms around you and take away all the pain. I wish I could see your beautiful smile every day. I wish I knew what would help make you better again. I wish you wouldn't shut me out. I wish.

I love you. I love how gentle you can be. I love your beautiful smile. I love having you around. I love that we both love Harry Potter. I love seeing when you are happy. I love how smart you are. I love your sense of humour. I love you.

I'm here. I'm here when you're happy. I'm here when you're sad. I'm here when you're angry. I'm here for you always, when you need me. I'm here.

CSI Case file # 86

LOVING this weeks colours!!  The photo is of my oldest daughter Chelle and her boyfriend Garon, they're so cute.  They've been dating for just over a year now :)

I got the quote and the inspiration for the design from this Pinterest Post, I thought it was very fitting for the photo.  All products either came from my Studio Calico Marks & Co Kit or from the Molly Kit.

I used all 5 colours
For the evidence I used scallops, art media (I used gesso to soften the pattern paper) and I tied some hemp to the photo frame :)
I hand journalled for the Testimony.

Thanks for stopping by and hope everyone has a GREAT weekend!

CSI file #85

LOVED the colours this week and thought they went perfectly with these beach photo's of my oldest and her boyfriend on a recent trip to Port Dover Beach :)

For the Evidence I used decorative brands and frames and for the testimony I had my daughter describe the day using the 5 senses and then I hand journaled them :)  I'm LOVING how this came out!!  It was my first time using Gesso (Thanks to Celine Navarro and the Toolbox class at Studio Calico) and I will definitely use it again :)

Thanks for stopping by!
